Scotch® Filament Tape 880 is a high performance tape reinforced with continuous, polyester yarn filaments that give the tape high tensile strength, high impact resistance and high cut resistance. The polypropylene film backing provides excellent abrasion and moisture resistance. The aggressive packaging grade adhesive is specifically formulated to provide an excellent balance of high initial adhesion and long term holding power to fiberboard, “non-oily” metals, printed and painted surfaces.
Features
• Good handling.
• Printable (clear only).
• Cut and impact resistant.
• High shear adhesion.
• Excellent aging.
• Tough film backing protects the filaments and adhesive to provide longer functional tape performance.
• Good handling characteristics saves time through ease of dispensing and tape application.
• When printed, the tape provides advertising, warning, and labeling capability.
• The polyester filaments resist cutting when tabbing the end lap of metal coils.
• The polyester filaments absorb the shock of rough, high impact handling to keep package secure during shipping.
• High tensile strength allows the use of less tape in many applications and lowers the cost per application.
• Translucency of the clear version allows good clarity of artwork and important messages, even when covered by the
tape.
• Adhesive provides good holding under wide range of application conditions with minimum amount of tape.
• Holds instantly with minimum rubdown.
• Boxes remain securely closed through normal warehouse time cycles
