Scotch® Filament Tape 890 HD is a high-performance tape reinforced with continuous fiberglass filaments which gives the tape very high tensile strength.

Scotch® High Strength Filament Tape 890 combines a clear polyester backing with a high filiament count to provide up to 1200 lbs./in. tensile strength for the most demanding reinforcment and holding applications.

  • Strong Hold – An exceptionally high count of glass fibers provides extreme tensile strength up to 1200 lbs/in
  • Tough Backing – Polyester film backing provides excellent abrasion, scuff and moisture resistance
  • Optimized Adhesive – specially formulated rubber adhesive provides low “outgasing” properties and good adhesion to metal surfaces
  • High Performance – commonly used for pipe reinforcement in undersea assemblies for the oil and gas industry
