Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive 1838 is a two-part structural epoxy adhesive formulated to create strong, rigid bonds with high shear strength. This high-viscosity, controlled-flow product allows for easy, precise dispensing, ensuring accurate application on a wide variety of metals, woods, and some plastics. With a 4:5 mix ratio, it is designed to cure at room temperature. The adhesive features a generous 60-minute work-life, providing ample time for positioning and adjustments. It reaches handling strength in approximately 8 hours and achieves a full cure in 7 days, resulting in a durable bond with excellent dead load holding capabilities.
