3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-2214 is a frozen, one-part, 100% solids epoxy adhesive that cures at an elevated temperature of 250°F (121°C). It is engineered to deliver high shear and peel strength, making it ideal for demanding aerospace applications where it maintains bond strength in both low and high temperatures, including challenging hot and wet environments. Specifically designed for bonding metals and high-temperature plastics like fiberglass reinforced plastics and phenolics, its pliable paste consistency allows for versatile application via spatula, trowel, or flow equipment. The aluminum-filled formula enhances heat resistance and conductivity, and a deaerated version is available for exceptionally dense, void-free bond lines. This adhesive requires no mixing and features a two-day out time, providing ample flexibility for thawing and application.
