3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-2214 Hi-Density is a frozen, one-part, tough epoxy adhesive that cures at elevated temperatures to deliver high shear and peel strength for demanding aerospace applications. It maintains excellent bond strength at both low and elevated temperatures and withstands challenging hot and wet environmental conditions. This high-performance adhesive serves as an effective alternative to mechanical fasteners, bonding a wide variety of substrates including metals and many plastics. Formulated with aluminum for enhanced heat handling and conductivity, its deaerated formula provides dense, void-free bond lines for superior performance. It offers a two-day out time for application flexibility and cures quickly, in 40 minutes at 250°F (121°C) or just 10 minutes at 350°F (177°C).
