3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-2216 B/A Gray is a flexible, two-part epoxy that cures at room temperature, delivering high shear and peel strength for demanding aerospace and industrial applications. This high-performance adhesive maintains excellent bond strength in harsh environments and at cryogenic temperatures, making it a reliable replacement for mechanical fasteners. It is widely used for composite laminate edge sealing and for bonding metals and many plastics. With a 2:3 mix ratio, it provides a 90-minute work life for precise assembly and adjustment. The adhesive reaches handling strength in approximately 12 hours and fully cures in 7 days at room temperature, with the option for heat acceleration.
