3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-2216 B/A Translucent is a flexible, two-part epoxy adhesive that cures at room temperature to create exceptionally strong bonds. It delivers high shear and peel strength, making it ideal for critical aerospace applications and bonding at cryogenic temperatures. This adhesive provides excellent performance on a variety of substrates, including metals and many plastics, and serves as a reliable alternative to mechanical fasteners. With a 1:1 mix ratio and a long 120-minute work life, it allows ample time for precise positioning. The adhesive reaches handling strength in 16 hours and fully cures in 7 days, a process that can be accelerated with heat. Its translucent quality allows for visibility of the bond line and underlying substrates.
