Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC 460 is a toughened, two-part epoxy adhesive that cures at room temperature to deliver exceptional shear and peel strength for the most demanding aerospace applications. This high-performance adhesive maintains reliable bond strength across high and low temperatures and resists challenging environmental conditions, making it an ideal lightweight replacement for mechanical fasteners, screws, rivets, and spot welds. It bonds effectively to a wide variety of substrates, including metals, woods, ceramics, many plastics, and glass. With a convenient 2:1 mix ratio, it is available in bulk or in duo-pak cartridges for precise dispensing. EC 460 provides a generous 60-minute work time for positioning parts, reaches handling strength in approximately 5 hours, and fully cures in 24 hours at room temperature.
