Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Epoxy Adhesive EC-3448 is a one-part, thixotropic epoxy adhesive designed to create tough, rigid bonds for demanding aerospace applications. It cures at 250°F (121°C) in 60 minutes and is ideal for metal-to-metal bonding and bonding pre-cured fiber-reinforced epoxy composite laminates. As the paste version of 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Film AF 163-2, it offers excellent performance in a convenient, low-flow formula perfect for vertical and overhead surfaces without run-off. The soft-paste viscosity allows for easy tooling and dispensing, while its non-sagging nature ensures precise bond line control, minimizing rework. EC-3448 provides excellent performance from -67°F (-55°C) to 225°F (107°C), features unusually high 180°F hot/wet durability, and delivers high impact resistance and outstanding environmental durability for long-lasting bonds.
