3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive EC-3984 is the sprayable liquid version of the high-performance AF 3109-2 adhesive film. This one-part formula is specifically designed for bonding wire mesh on engine nacelles, thrust reversers, and acoustic panels in the aerospace industry. The sprayable format allows for precise coating or economical application over large areas while providing structural-grade strength at elevated temperatures up to 300°F (149°C). Its viscosity is optimized to prevent blockage on perforated acoustic components. For process flexibility, EC-3984 offers a variable cure temperature range from 225°F (107°C) to 350°F (177°C), making it a versatile and efficient solution for demanding bonding applications.
