3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Film AF 143-2 is a high-performance, heat-curing adhesive film engineered for structural bonding in demanding aerospace applications. It excels at joining honeycomb and metal-to-metal components, delivering exceptionally high bond strength at elevated temperatures up to 350°F (177°C). This adhesive maintains its robust performance across a wide operational temperature range from -67°F to 350°F (-55°C to 177°C), providing high fracture toughness and peel strength in various environmental conditions. Designed for easy handling in shop environments, it features an embossed liner and is compatible with 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Primer EC-3917. AF 143-2 enables lighter aircraft designs by reducing the need for mechanical fasteners in both solid panel and honeycomb sandwich structures.
