Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Film AF 3113-5M is a supported, one-side tacky, thermosetting film adhesive engineered for the structural bonding of metals, honeycomb, and epoxy-graphite composites. It excels at surfacing graphite composites, providing a smooth, void-free finish, and is also effective for bonding pre-cured graphite composites. This versatile film co-cures with most graphite epoxy composites at temperatures as low as 225°F (107°C) and delivers excellent performance across a wide temperature range, from -67°F (-55°C) to 300°F (149°C). Offering improved high-temperature performance over conventional 250°F (121°C) curing film adhesives, it is resistant to high-moisture environments both before and after curing. Designed for easy shop handling, AF 3113-5M provides high fracture toughness, strong peel strength, and reliable, long-term bonds in both solid panel and honeycomb sandwich fabrications. It is compatible with a variety of substrates and primers, including 3M™ Scotch-Weld™ primers EW 5000, EW 5000 AS, EW 5000 ET, EC 3917, and EC 3924 B.
