Product Introduction
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive AF 3185 is a non-volatile, thermosetting epoxy laminating adhesive combined with a glass cloth carrier, designed for structural bonding and the preparation of reinforced epoxy glass laminates. This light tan-colored film is commonly used for bonding aircraft canopies and windscreens into frames, providing moderate adhesive strength at 75°F. With its easy-to-use shop handling properties, 3M™ AF 3185 is repositionable and has very low flow, making it ideal for vacuum or low-pressure curing processes. Its ability to bond diverse substrates like glass to metal facilitates the creation of innovative, lightweight structures by reducing the reliance on traditional fasteners.
