3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Film AF 46 is a thermosetting, nonvolatile polyamide epoxy film adhesive engineered for the high-strength structural bonding of metals and glass. This lightweight, 1.0 mil film is easy to handle in a shop environment and provides high shear, peel, and cleavage strengths across a wide operational temperature range from -67°F to 350°F (-55°C to 175°C). Offering flexible cure cycles and a high degree of clarity when in contact with a solid surface, it allows for the use of relatively low bonding pressures. 3M™ AF 46 is designed to meet numerous aerospace specifications, enabling innovative designs that reduce the number of mechanical fasteners like rivets for lighter, more streamlined structures.
