3M™ Scotch-Weld™ Structural Adhesive Film AF 555 is a family of thermosetting modified epoxy adhesive films that provide exceptional long-term durability for bonding metal and composite structures. Specifically designed for applications requiring high fracture toughness, this film excels in solid panel and honeycomb sandwich construction, even in harsh environments. AF 555 offers superior shop handling characteristics, excellent pre-bond humidity performance on composite substrates, and an impressive one-year out time at ambient storage conditions. Once cured, it maintains high bond strength across a broad temperature range of -67°F to 325°F (-55°C to 163°C). It is available in various weights and carrier options, including an unsupported version for reticulation, and is compatible with primers like EW-5000 and EC-3917.
