3M™ Structural Adhesive SA9816AOV is a two-part epoxy specifically formulated for automotive Body in White (BIW) hem flange bonding. It is engineered to deliver exceptional structural strength on lubricated galvanized steel and aluminum, even with very high draw lubricant coating weights. This adhesive features excellent induction reactivity for a fast lock-up, allowing panels to be pre-set, which can eliminate the need for pre-cure ovens and additional fixtures. With low activation temperatures to minimize panel distortion and a long work time, SA9816AOV is a versatile solution for bonding modern lightweight materials like aluminum and carbon fiber in automotive manufacturing.
