Product Introduction
3M™ UV Activated Film 81075 is a curable film that offers semi-structural strength while handling like a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA). This clear film, delivered between two liners, creates precise bonds with minimal shrinkage and good aesthetics. It combines the strength of adhesives with the ease of tapes, activating with UV light rather than heat. Before activation, it’s tacky and can be die-cut; after, it builds to full strength in 24 hours at room temperature, making it perfect for bonding small, heat-sensitive components.
3M™ 81075 Features
- BONDING, REIMAGINED: Stronger bonds than tapes; easier to apply than liquid adhesives; and activated with light, rather than heat
- FAMILIAR FEEL: Processes and performs like a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) before UV activation, including the ability to die cut for thin precision bonding
- CURING TIME: Achieves green strength within an hour and full bond at room temperature within 24 hours following UV activation
- GOOD AESTHETICS: Bonds with very low shrinkage and with good bond line visual appearance
- VARIOUS SUBSTRATES: Creates excellent bond strength on most medium and high surface energy materials
- DUAL LINERED CONFIGURATION: Delivered on a clear, 38 μm PET front liner and clear, 50 μm anti-static PET back liner
- THICKNESS: This film has a thickness of 75 μm
