LOCTITE® 609 Retaining Compound
LOCTITE® 609 is a low-viscosity adhesive designed for bonding cylindrical parts. It cures anaerobically between metal surfaces and is effective in preventing vibration-related loosening. Commonly used for motor shafts and bushing applications, it enhances press fits and delivers consistent retention performance.
LOCTITE® 609 Features
- Low viscosity for tight-fitting parts
- Fluorescent under UV for inspection
- Meets Mil Spec: Mil-R-46082B
- Operating temperature: -55°C to 150°C (-65°F to 300°F)
LOCTITE® 609 Applications
- Retaining bushings, rotors, and sleeves
- Press fit augmentation
- Preventing vibration-induced loosening and leakage
