This black, 2-part epoxy cures at room temperature and easily fills horizontal voids and volumes (self-leveling). It is designed to comply with UL-674 requirements for explosion-proof electric motors (UL 1203).

For an adhesive system that meets the UL 1203 requirements for explosion-proof electric motors, consider LOCTITE® EA E-40EXP. This 2-part, self-leveling black epoxy is typically used for potting, sealing and bonding electronic and electrical components – isolating the electrical motor from hazardous vapors and chemicals that could cause an explosion. It can be potted into horizontal volumes and will instantly flow to fill the voids. It shows minimal exothermic reaction upon curing (room temperature) with very low shrinkage.
